When Ole was brought in as Manager, he was certain that this club needed a rebuild from scratch. In his 2 years as manager of MUFC, the club has seen various Positive changes under him.
(1) United DNA: He has brought in Former Players/Teammates as members of his coaching staff to develop that United DNA among his players.
He has brought in the Hunger, Passion & that fighting spirit among the group of players who now play for the club & the badge over monetary gains.
(2) Fitness: As He Promised in his Interim Days, he wanted Manchester United to be the fittest team in the league which is slowly but surely being achieved.
When United lost to Everton 4-0, he clearly stated that he wanted to get rid of the older players which he successfully did.
(3)The Mentality Monsters: Manchester United won nearly 30+ points from losing position in the season 2020/21 another trait that shows the fitness level of the players under Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
(4)Change in Structure: It was always a dream for every MUFC supporter to have a Director of Football & a Technical Director at the Club who looks after the Recruitment business & day to day functioning of the club, which was also made possible under Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
(5)Improvement in Recruitment: The Transfers made under Ole Gunnar Solskjær has acted as a game-changer going forward.
The Targets are fully analysed, scouted, keeping age a factor for long term sustainability within the club.
(6) Improvement of Players: Players like Luke Shaw, Fred, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Scott McTominay etc, output and fitness-wise is another trait of OGS & staff we as fans should be proud of.
(7)Wage Structure: Ole has slowly but surely trimmed off the wage bill by selling players who never wanted to be here but were on high wages. For example, United didn’t offer Ander Herrera a new contract because he wanted a heavy increase in wages which Ole was quite against.
(8) Faith in Youth: There’s a Tradition at MUFC of giving Academy players their Debuts with the first team & Ole has carried it forward by giving Debuts to 16 youngsters from the academy & counting.
Of course, we’re in a result-based industry & Trophies are the real parameters to judge success. But the work Ole has done to a team that had 3 philosophies is immense.
Trophies will come, sooner or later. It’s all about the patience & support we can give to this team because they’re the most lovable squad we’ve had since SAF retired.
