Manchester United have been given hope they can secure the signing of Denzel Dumfries this summer.
The Red Devils were linked with the Inter Milan wing-back last week amid doubts over Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The £50m signing from Crystal Palace looks likely to be sold this summer following his struggle to impress at Old Trafford.
And with new boss Erik ten Hag looking to strength his right-back options, Dumfries has emerged as his top target.
The 26-year-old shaped his career at PSV Eindhoven before securing a bargain £11m move to Inter in summer 2021.
Dumfries impressed too at the San Siro, scoring five goals and adding four assists in 21 Serie A starts.

Now that form has seen a string of clubs alerted to him, with Manchester United and Tottenham among those keen. And due to Inter’s financials issues, they are seemingly willing to sell the Dutchman for a fee of around £26m.
United are yet to make their move. However, the Daily Mail claims they are ready to push for his signature in the coming days.
And despite Tottenham being able to offer Dumfries Champions League football, it seems the player has no interest in a move there.
Indeed, as per the report, they claim Dumfries would rather stay at Inter Milan than join Spurs this summer. And that has left Antonio Conte with egg on his face, with the Italian also making the player his top right wing-back target.
As such, they state Dumfries only has eyes for Manchester United were he to leave Inter. He reportedly believes he could quickly adapt in well at Old Trafford and they are his only option were Inter push for his sale.
