Manchester United are trying to tempt Napoli into a swap deal for striker Victor Osimhen by offering a player in return
A number of Premier League clubs, including United, Arsenal and Newcastle have shown an interest. But Area Napoli claims that the Red Devils are the ones who have firmed up that interest.
They report that while an offer was made it was ‘considered too low’ by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
But United are not done yet and are ready to put Anthony Martial’s ‘card on the plate’ in a potential swap deal.
The report adds that Martial is valued at £25.5million (€30m) in the current market and will be moved on. Indeed, the Frenchman has yet to score a LaLiga goal doing his loan stint with Sevilla.
However, there is one big problem on the horizon, Napoli are not keen on the player.
That comes as no great surprise, given Martial’s struggles this season. That will leave United either having to offer another player or turn their attentions elsewhere.
