There was some interesting rumours over the weekend that Manchester City are interested in signing Paul Pogba on a free transfer this summer.

It is widely believed that Pogba will be leaving United for free in the summer when his contract expires, bringing an end to a largely disappointing stint at Old Trafford.

Pogba has only shown glimpses of his best in a United shirt, but they have been all too rare, and I don’t think there will be any fans losing sleep over his departure.

Obviously it would be a kick in the teeth to see him join one of our rivals on a free, but I strongly believe that comes down to United not cashing in when they had the chance.

Reliable journalist David Ornstein provided an update on Pogba’s situation and said that a move abroad is more likely, but we must wait for Man City to make the player an offer.

However, in the early hours of today Ornstein posted that Paul Pogba has rejected Man City’s offer and will not be playing for them next season.

Paul Pogba prefers the overall package of another club. Juventus, PSG and Real Madrid are working on deals for the French midfielder.
